The Home 2 Home Project extends a helping hand to individuals and families in need as they transition into a new home. Many of our clients arrive in a new home with little to no belongings, and although they are employed, almost all live below the poverty line.

 

The Home 2 Home Project collects gently used furniture and household goods from donations received from surrounding communities and repurposes them to create a warm, beautiful and welcoming environment for our clients.

 

The ultimate goal is to create a living space where our clients not only have their basic needs met but feel proud to come home.
  

WE DO NOT ACCEPT-

Food, clothing, sleeper sofas, large appliances, hard-wired lights or fans, telephones,mounted mirrors, exercise equipment, holiday decor, large desks, printers, and stuffed animals.

 

HOW DO I DONATE?

Items need to be placed outside either curbside or in driveway or will not be picked up.

Drivers are NOT allowed to go into homes.

Pick-ups begin at $25 if within a 5-mile radius of our LaGrange facility.

 

PLEASE NOTE: drivers need to be paid at time of pick-up or appointment will be rescheduled.​

PICK-UP COST IS SCALED BY THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Simple ($25): 1-2 furniture items within 5 miles out of LaGrange, IL 

  • Medium ($50): 2-5 furniture items 5-10 miles out of LaGrange, IL

  • Large ($75): 5-7 furniture items 5-10 miles out of LaGrange, IL

  • BIG ($100+) Based on anything larger than the above and pre-arranged with Marcia at marcia@theh2hproject.org 

 

All donations are 100% tax deductible.
