From Empty Walls to Warm Welcome: Team 222 Transforms a Veteran’s Home
Move-in 222
Leads: Gina Sineni and Kristen Pisani
Driver: Don Spetter
It is always heartwarming when our teams give clients more than what they could have ever dreamed of. Team 222, led by Gina and Kristen, did just that this past week. Our Midwest Veterans’ Shelter client had fallen on hard times due to domestic and medical issues. The team went in full steam and created a light, airy, and inviting space for her and her daughter to call home. Thanks to our special extra donors, Tracy Canfield for handmade pillowcases, Linda Farley for welcome baskets, and the folks at Zelda’s Kitchen Witches for stocking the kitchen with much needed items. Gina and Kristen were assisted in the implementation by volunteers , Nicole Herweck, Don Herweck , Tammy Johnson, Kelly Madej, Andrew Madej, Jake Pisani, Jenna Pisani Smagala, John Smagala, Jim Pisani, and Stefanie Maloney. Behind the scenes volunteers included Tom Davis, Broadie and Doreen Clement-Hill, and all our warehouse crew. As always, thank you for your continued support of H2H and our clients. If you have been meaning to get involved, now is the time. We have several moves coming up this summer! Our shop, East Vintage Market, is always a great way to support the mission.
