Move in 236

Leads: Kathy Robbins and Yvonne Miranda

Driver: Don Spetter

November 14th

On a beautiful  unseasonably warm Friday, we brought the sunshine inside by providing a veteran with the cozy northwoods cabin feel she hoped for in her new apartment.  We were fortunate to have an entire house of furniture and decor donated by  Bill Fisher. Thanks to his daughter, Kathy Robbins, for facilitating the transfer of furniture to our warehouse.  Yvonne and Kathy picked out pieces from that collection that were perfect for the theme.  Volunteers,  Janine Crabb, Kris Veenbaas, Linda McMahon, Lisa Andrew’s, Roxanne Lostroscio, Sabrina Vizioli, and Jeff Andrews, worked tirelessly to pull it all together. The cozy cabin was ready for our vet and her kitties in record time. With the help of Clear Space Junk Removal, they were able to unload the truck and get the space completely ready in a two hour time period. Our client even has a Christmas tree ready for her to decorate as she wishes. Thanks to Zelda’s Kitchen Witches for supporting our DV client. Hugs to Linda Farley for not only gifting our client a welcome basket, but each of the kitties also received special gifts. The holidays will be a bit warmer for this special veteran. Wishing all of our supporters warmth at this time of year! Thank you for your continued support of our mission.
