#MoveInDay #132

Our clients pay nothing for our help...it is all provided free thanks to your help funding this grassroots mission.

Design lead: Ana Wilson assisted by Kathy Robbins

Volunteers: Jay Wagner, Michael Reid, Jill Davidson Robinson, Mary Peterson Gibbons, Chris and Laura Nuter Ritter (first timers!) Sheila Jaskierski and Ed Ciechanowski (first timers!)!

Our client, a referral from Hines VA Hospital became homeless after his apartment flooded and was uninhabitable. He also needed to be closer to Hines where he receives dialysis 4 days a week. Upon meeting him he told our designers how depressed this apartment made him because of the poor condition it was in. After a fresh coat of paint (supplies donated by Daniel Gliss of Premium Home Improvement) and a volunteer group of painters (see previous post) plus a multitude of gently used furniture and household items, along with many purchased brand new items, we created a warm, inviting home he can be proud of!

Please also notice the special touches tagged throughout that design lead, Ana Wilson spent COUNTLESS hours creating herself, including the homemade deserts! She made sure to create a home that reflected what he told her about his love of music, including artwork, collectibles and custom made coasters! Thank you Ana for ALWAYS going ABOVE AND BEYOND for your clients!

Now for the fun part, see if anything you donated made its way into this project!
