Today an amazing group of volunteers changed the life of a humble young veteran, Client #148, just in time for the holidays. After serving honorably in the Navy for 4 years and suffering a back injury, he experienced a series of stumbles, including attending a trade school that turned out to fraudulently prey upon veterans. He ended up homeless and was referred to the Home 2 Home Project after the Veterans’ Administration found him an apartment.

Led by designers @KathyRobbins and Roxanne Wendel Lostroscio, in just 90 minutes, the H2H team transformed his empty apartment where he’d been living for a month into a beautiful, comfortable home. When he returned home, he was overwhelmed, hugged each of us, and texted us later to say “I can’t stop smiling” and “I’m at a loss for words.”
